Over the last weekend we had the pleasure to join the first edition of DaShape, the sneaker event más caliente de España! Thanks to the excellent organization of Jace and Reyes, the event was truly a great success, with such number of visitors during the two opening days. This one has been the first sneaker event of international level in Spain, and we'd like to sincerely congratulate all the DaShape crew because organization, sneakers, and hospitality, have already reached the same level, if they didn't go beyond, of other remarkable and historic European events.
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th, June, the Antigua Estacion de Principe Pio was crowded of many of the most important collectors and Spanish sneaker stores, and official brands such as Asics, New Balance, Adidas, Onitsuka Tiger, K-Swiss and Hummel, plus International special guests such as the store Bodega from Boston, clothing and accessories brands, sneaker artists, nail artists, and, of course, many sneaker lovers. Thanks to the great work done by the DaShape team during the previous days, for the opening the location was perfectly set up with structures in wooden pallets that allowed exhibitors to maximize space and to customize every detail of their stands.
Inside the pavilion you could find the best of what lays on the International landscape in terms of collaborations, deadstocks, and vintage sneakers. As for clothing and accessories, the offer was not for less, boasting shirts, socks, five panels, laces, and everything you could possibly need to complete your wardrobe. Under the artistic point of view, we really got surprised, thanks to great quality exhibits and some really original author pieces.
Beside the purely commercial profile, DaShape has offered its guests the opportunity to participate in a series of side events such as photo contests on Instagram, speed 'races' for the fastest to tie shoes, humorous caricatures, and photo booths. Outside the station, you could find a food & drink area, which offered burgers, hot dogs, beer, and spatial-level mojitos, which let grow a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The audience, which counted many girls and full force families of sneaker lovers, flowed steadily throughout the opening hours, and at the end of the two days, feedbacks and opinions were very positive.
The event has just ended, but we are sure that Jace, Reyes, and all their team of collaborators are already thinking about the next date, given the success of this first edition and the many inquiries we have already received here at TheSneakersBox. We want to thank everyone for the wonderful hospitality and we leave you with an extensive photo report with over 140 images which for sure will make you want to pack your stuff and fly to the next edition of DaShape, the sneaker event más caliente de España!
